My six-year-old daughter interacts with Barbie on a very real (at least to her) level. When a plastic icon can play computer games with her, send her email, even call her on the phone to wish her goodnight, where is the line drawn between what is real and what is not?
 
"...the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright..." But what is fair use?
